TERMS OF USE
Terms of use
KEYSTORM is a free browser game with no account and no payment, so these terms are short. They cover what you can expect from the game, what it does not promise, and the few rules that exist because multiplayer involves other people.
Last updated: 29 August 2026.
1. Using the game
KEYSTORM is free to play for personal use, and that includes using it in a classroom, at work, or anywhere else you like. You do not need permission and there is nothing to sign.
There is no account, so there is nothing to register, nothing to keep secure and nothing to lose access to. Your progress lives in your own browser.
2. What you agree not to do
- Do not use automated tools, scripts or modified clients to play, particularly against other people or to post scores.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the multiplayer server, other players' matches, or the availability of the site.
- Do not use offensive or impersonating callsigns in multiplayer. Other people have to read them.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, obscure or artificially interact with the advertising on the site.
Multiplayer is the only place these have teeth, because it is the only place your behaviour reaches anybody else. A connection can be refused if it is causing problems for other players.
3. Fair play
The daily challenge is seeded from the date so that every player gets an identical run, which is what makes scores comparable. Submitting a score you did not type, by any means, defeats the only thing that makes the daily worth playing.
4. What is not promised
The game is provided as it is. It may be unavailable, it may contain faults, and it may change or be discontinued without notice. Nothing here is a guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.
Your scores are stored in your browser and can be lost. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser will lose them. There is no backup and no way to recover them, because there is no server holding a copy.
The typing statistics the game shows are measurements of play within the game. They are not a professional assessment of your typing ability and should not be relied on as one.
5. Liability
To the extent the law allows, KEYSTORM is not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost progress, lost scores, or any consequence of relying on the statistics it reports. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it.
6. Content and ownership
The game, its code, its artwork and the text on this site belong to their author. You may link to the game freely and share your results. You may not republish the game as your own or present it as another product.
The music is Outer Space Loop by wipics, from OpenGameArt.org, under CC0.
7. Advertising and third parties
The site carries advertising served by Google AdSense, and uses Google Analytics to count visits. Both set their own cookies and are covered in full on the privacy page. Advertising is laid out as its own space on the page and never covers or interferes with the game.
8. Children
KEYSTORM has no account, collects no personal information and contains nothing unsuitable for younger players. The advertising is served by Google and follows its own policies, which are linked from the privacy page.
9. Changes
These terms may change as the game does. The date at the top shows when they last did. Continuing to play after a change means the current version applies.
10. Contact
Questions about any of this go to scriptvedainnovations@gmail.com. See the contact page for what to put in the subject line.
